Space Shuttle program

The Space Shuttle program was a manned spaceflight program by NASA. It began in 1972 and ended in 2011. The goal was a reusable space transporter for transporting astronauts and cargo into orbit. The program included six space shuttles and led to numerous missions to the International Space Station and satellite launches.
